Greaves Ltd, one of India's acknowledged leaders of the industry, is a part of the Thapar group. Greaves has a technical collaboration with Bomag GmbH & Co. OHG, Germany for manufacture and supply of vibratory soil compactors and tandem vibratory rollers. The company's core competencies are in internal combustion engines and construction equipment. The Indian construction industry is looking for a very high degree of modernisation and as equipment manufacturers, Greaves is planning to introduce a number of latest equipment.

It is provided with Deutz BF 4L 1011F engine having a speed of 2500 rpm. The choice of high and low compaction setting permits effective utilisation under changing site conditions thereby increasing plant utilisation and reducing costs per cubic meter laid. The operator gets good visibility of the drum surface and kerb-side, thus making it effortless and less tiring for the operator.

Direct driving light torque drum motors create good driving efficiency, reduce wear and require less maintenance. The driving is smooth, producing less stress on sensitive asphalt services.

The standard equipment consists of crab steering, water pump with hydrostatic drive, high capacity polyurethane/steel reinforced water tanks, independent vibration control, four spring – leaded hinged scrapers, emergency STOP, a sun canopy, working lights, tool kit.
